Mackinac Island Horses

These horses spent the winter in Pickford,MI resting from their busy summers on Mackinac Island. The summer season soon approaches and they will soon find themselves on a ferry headed for the carless island.

For the past couple of winters we have been putting raw, unroasted peanuts in a bird feeder for the blue jays that stay around these parts. The birds go crazy for these treats and it is  fun to watch them wrestle out the peanuts from the feeder and  then the shell. These two peanuts are from the last feeder filling for the year.
